Cyanide is mainly made to the mining of silver and gold: It helps dissolve these metals permitting separation from the other solids. During the cyanide system, finely ground high-grade ore is mixed with the cyanide (in a ratio of about one:500 pieces NaCN to ore); lower-grade ores are stacked into heaps and sprayed with a cyanide solution (at a rat
